How Damage Control Works
Overview
TraderToolsPro Connector provides four different damage-control calculation modes to help you manage risk by capping the loss per trade.
Damage Control Types
Type | Explanation | Value Name | Example |
---|---|---|---|
Wallet lost amount | Risk exactly the “Wallet lost amount per trade (USDT)”. | Wallet lost amount per trade (USDT) | If set to 50: order size sized to lose exactly 50 USDT on stop-loss. |
Wallet lost percent | Risk exactly a percentage of your wallet. | Wallet lost percent per trade (%) | If 5% and wallet = 1,000 USDT: risk exactly (1,000 × 5%) USDT on stop-loss. |
Wallet Margin | Order size = Leverage × Wallet Margin per trade × Symbol price. | Wallet Margin per Trade (%) | 100× leverage × 3% margin × 60,000 price = position size. |
Absolute Value | Exact fixed USDT amount per trade. | Amount per trade (USDT) | If set to 500: position size = 500 USDT. |
